In sight of the ocean

At the north-eastern end of the coastal road, on a small spit of land close by the OCÉANO, lies the village of La Punta del Hidalgo. The name means “Seat of the Nobles” and harks back to the medieval past of the village. And indeed, there is much that has barely changed since these times: Each morning the fishermen sail off in their brightly painted boats to make their daily catch. On the seafront promenade cafés and restaurants invited you to while away the time. There is a great sense of tradition and conviviality in La Punta which lends this place its particular charm amid the roaring ocean.
